Cutie! Little Quvenzhané Wallis She's Been Named the New Face of Armani Junior! Congrats

Little cutie Quvenzhané Wallis has been making major moves in Hollywood. From landing the role as Annie in the remake of the Broadway show and film Annie. She's now the new face of Armani Junior! A major fashion house and this spells exposure and big time for Quevenzhane. I'm happy for her she's a beautiful little girl her acting skills were unparalleled for such a young actress and she has no where to go but up. 

Quvenzhané Wallis expressed her excitement and happiness on landing the Armani account: 

"I'm so happy to be chosen by Mr. Armani to be his ambassador for Armani Junior," Wallis      told The Hollywood Reporter. "I felt the same excitement when I got cast for a major film. 
Me? Wow!"

So congrats Quvenzhané Wallis, I'll see ya in the magazines!

Lupita Nyong'o is EVERYWHERE! She is Now the Face of Lancome and a Model for Miu Miu's Spring/Summer Campaign! Congrats Lupita!!!

Lupita Nyong'o is everyone's favorite obsession now a days and it was only a matter of time before she started showing up everywhere doing ads for major beauty and fashion companies. Well the time has come! Lupita Nyong'o is now the face of Lancome a french based beauty and skin care company. Lancome has made Lupita their new brand ambassador and she will star in ads that will begin circulation around September. Check out this tweet from Lancome:

The company explained their reasoning for seeking Lupita as a brand ambassador and here's what the General Manager of Lancôme International, Françoise Lehmann said that they chose Lupita because she is "talented and committed, true to her African beauty, and showing a great curiosity and open-mindedness in her career choices."

Lupita was just as excited and eager to begin her work as the ambassador when asked by WWD magazine why she agreed to the deal, here's what she said:
"What appealed to me about Lancôme is that they're not dictating what beauty is, hopefully it’s a symbiotic relationship - that I benefit from being associated with them, and they benefit from being associated with me, as well. And for the consumer at large, I think Lancôme has a range of products for every woman, and I think having me will expand people’s understanding of, hopefully, what Lancôme stands for, who Lancôme is for."
Lupita Nyong'o isn't the first academy award winning actress to gain a deal from Lancome. Kate Winslet, Julia Roberts and Penelope Cruz all have been linked to Lancome at some point but Lupita is the first African American woman to become the brand ambassador.


Hopefully with Lupita on board Lancome will provide a wider range of product (in terms of foundation especially) that will suit all skin tones and types. Similar to what Queen Latifah did for Covergirl.

Lancome isn't the only brand that has acquired Lupita. Miu Miu noticed that Lupita had a kinship with some of their pieces from their collection (she wore some of them at events and award shows) and they tapped Lupita to star in their upcoming Spring/Summer ad campaign for 2014.

Fashion: Did You Know? Keyshia Cole Had a Shoe Line with Steve Madden?

Last Year on October 1, 2013, Keyshia Cole partnered with famed fashion mogul Steve Madden (more so famous for his beautiful shoe collections) to create a fashion shoe line called Steve Madden by Keyshia Cole. I had no idea that this line had even existed. It did not have a major press release or social media release like Nicki Minaj's line or even Sofia Vergara's. I was shocked when I watched Wendy Williams this morning and she gave one her audience members a diva fan for being the eye candy of the day (by her standards) and the woman mentioned she had on Steve Maddens by Keyshia Cole. I was shocked! I'm like Whaaaa? Keyshia Cole has a shoe line? So I went and googled the shoes and Steve Madden has the link for his site but they are no longer available.



They are available however on 6PM. But I think the line has been pulled by now. You would be hard pressed to find these shoes anywhere. eBay would be a good place to find them. I don't think they are going to go beyond that. She didn't really promote these shoes and I guess after a while Steve Madden Co. decided to pull the shoes or sell them to discount stores. If you want to find the shoes for sure as I said earlier try 6PM or a discounted store in your area like TJ Maxx, Marshalls, Tuesday Morning, or something along those lines. 

Other than that you're out of luck for Keyshia Cole's multi-patterned, bright colored, platforms and pumps. Sad, but some of the shoes aren't necessarily my cup of tea. Keyshia's shoe collection is alright. Its nothing to jump up and down about. Its like something I've already seen it before. 

Well I hope Keyshia Cole can get some more shoes added to the line or maybe they'll revamp the line. Who knows. All I know is that the line isn't exactly a hot commodity and it isn't available right now.

Lupita Nyong'o is on the cover New York Magazine! She Looks ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!!

Lupita Nyong'o has been making major noise in Hollywood, thanks to her superior acting in 12 Years a Slave. But that is not her only claim to fame. Awards Season is the biggest and probably one of the most talked about times of the years. Lupita has solidified her place in history not only in her acting but also in fashion as well. Golden Globes, SAG (Screen Actors Guild), Critics Choice Awards, she's taken the world by storm with her beautiful choices in fashion.

In the New York Magazine she talks about her childhood, her struggles with being in the U.S., and studying at Yale School of Drama. Here are some of the images from NY Mag:







Her fashion choices are revered all over! She's the new "IT GIRL" in fashion and she's absolutely gorgeous in every choice. Lupita is fearless in her choices and bold thats what makes her one of my favorite celebrities in fashion to date. Lupita understands her body and her skin tone. She picks colors that work well for her and she always look absolutely stunning! Lady Gaga is in the New Face of Versace

Lady Gaga is beyond the realm of the real world. But I've come to realize that this is her artform. This is how she chooses to present her music to the world and I cannot be mad at that. At her core she is just a normal woman with big grandeur ideas that she's able to present in full blown production on stage. So with that being said Lady Gaga has been chosen as Versace's "Face" of their 2014 Spring/Summer campaign. Lady Gaga has been known to pull out a Versace gown or ensemble since she came on the scene. And since she and Donatella are very good friends being in the ad campaign for Versace wouldn't be a hard task. 

Lady Gaga looks absolutely stunning in this purple gown by Versace. And if you're looking at the gown saying she's worn this before, you would be absolutely right! She wore this gown to the AMAs 2 weeks ago before the announcement of her being apart of the new Versace campaign. Many people say she's channeling Donatella herself with the tanned olive skin, minimal makeup, and long blonde wig. Either way Lady Gaga looks absolutely stunning and here in lately she's been toning down the theatrics as far as her normal dress. Recently she's become one of my style crushes. Love Lady Gaga and ArtPOP is my new obsession. I really like the album.

ZooShoo.com Review!

I'm really disappointed. I've been wanting to purchase from this company for years.  I finally had the money to purchase a pair of wedges from them and I was soooo stoked! I went to the site bought my shoes and then waited about a week in a half for them to arrive. They cost $30 and I had free shipping! When they came I was happy but when I got ready to put them on I looked at them and they looked small for a pair of size 11 shoes. I tried them on realized they didn't fit and I instantly got upset! I really wanted these shoes for a dress that I ordered and I couldn't believe that I couldn't fit them.

So I decided to conduct a little test with the shoe. I said "Hmm let me see if the shoe is sized wrong or is it just my feet?" 


FYI - I have fat feet. Usually the shoe game for me is limited. Because of my wide feet it makes it difficult to order from just anywhere.

Anyway I decided to have my mom try on the shoes. She's a size 9 by the way and the shoes fit perfect! I'm upset. I felt like if they are not true to size then they shouldn't advertise that. It should explain the "sizing". Some sites explain that they get their shoes from Europe and they are sized differently over there by the country they are made in. What did we learn from this? Buying your shoes online can be a crap shoot. And just because it says its your size be prepared to accept that is not true. Not all shoes are created equal.



















It's Rating Time People:

Shoe Size Rating: 2 out of 10
Shoe Quality: 10 out of 10
Experience (As far as shipping, customer service, etc.): 100 out of 10
Price: 100 out of 10 (Prices are REAL GOOD!)

If they were true to size and absolutely fit me, this blog would be different. I'm truly upset. Honestly I wanted those shoes and now I'm like sorely disappointed. I just can't give them a higher rating than this and I really want to!

New Clothing Line? Reality Star NeNe Leakes Covers Today's Black Woman Magazine and She Mentions Her Next Move Into FASHION!

Reality Queen NeNe Leakes has decided to venture into fashion as her next business venture. Honestly I think its a good fit. NeNe has always been fashionable (especially her shoes GOD I love that woman's SHOES! LOL) so its no surprise that she has decided to venture out into Fashion. Actually I'm glad. I think that it is a lucrative business opportunity. The magazine discusses Mrs. Leakes ever present style. Take a look at the pieces she chose for her photo shoot (By the way these are not from her line they are designer clothing. They are just chronicling her style). They are fun, flirty and she's even incorporated some of that jazz era flapper girl style with modern trends. 

She posted a tweet on twitter and here's what it says:
"Get a sneak peek @ my style in Today's Black Woman!" "Look out for my clothing line coming soon."
In the magazine she mentions her love of the color black and cocktail dresses, But I just have one suggestion: Mrs. NeNe I hope that you make your line as diverse as possible. I know for you its about extremely high heels and sleek form fitting dresses (although I have seen you in jeans and a t-shirt before I'm just saying #nodisrespect, #noTnoShade) but you limit your market when you just cater to a certain demographic. It is my hope that you would broaden your line into casual everyday wear but still on trend along with the cocktail dresses, evening gowns, fierce shoes and so on and so forth. Take a look at what the Kardashians did with their line at Kohl's. Affordable clothes for every size (well almost) and they are on trend and very fashionable. Another example of a good affordable fashion line for all walks of life is Jennifer Lopez and Mark Anthony also featured at Kohls. They really provide the public with a wide variety of clothing that is wearable for every occasion. And it is my hope that you will do the same!!!!!


Congrats on the new clothing line and your ever blooming career. And of course your new start on your second time around with Mr. Leakes. Good Luck and I hope you will carry a size a 11 for me in the shoe department. If you make shoes, PLEASE HAVE A SHOE LINE!!!!!

New #SneakerHead Alert: Teyana Taylor's New Harlem GLC's are Dropping this November. And I Gotta Say They Are FIRE!

Now I've always been a very well rounded girl when it came to fashion. I like my shoe game to be tight and my clothes to offer edgy, subtle sophisticated, realness. Does that make sense? LOL! So I'm no stranger to a good pair of sneaks (jordans, creative recs, nikes, the list goes on and on).

Well Ms Teyana Taylor a very well known sneaker head has turned the sneaker world upside down with her additions to the well known and diverse culture. Teyana Taylor teamed up with Adidas Originals and was asked to create a pair of sneakers that reflected Harlem. And boy oh boy did Teyana deliver!!!! She came up with the concept of Harlem GLC (Good Luck Charm) a line of sneaks that are not only original but still on trend with the colors and prints that a high fashion designer would love to use. Check out the first pair she released earlier this year in February:

The sneakers are BAD! Teyana and her team are GENIUSES! I dig the creative way to utilized the back of shoe with the black bands. But the only drawback I have is that they are $140 a pop! Thats a lot of dough for some sneaks. I understand they were custom designs, by a celebrity, and are a part of the Adidas originals. And I know what y'all are saying: Tiffany you just confessed to owning several pair of high end sneakers yourself. Before y'all beat me up let me explain. Every pair of Jordans, Dunks, Bigs, Creative Recs or what have you that I own were bought for me. I have never spent a dime of my own money over $100 for a pair of sneakers. So I am not, nor have I have claimed to be a true sneakerhead I just appreciate the culture, thats all.

Teyana Taylor I'm sorry to say I don't follow you on Instagram or Twitter and I had idea about shoes but I gotta say these are awesome. Big UPS to you girl. You mad style and you got some big props from me!!!!


RATING TIME!!!!!


OVERALL: 10 OUT OF 10 - Great concept, great design. Its got the vibe that every sneakerhead secretly and publicly wants: Originality with a hit of celebrity luxury.
COST: 6 OUT OF 10 - Only because its not an affordable price but given the high end value of the shoe is actually affordable for people who have $140 to spend on some sneaks. Me...sigh, I'll just admire from a distance!
SHOE DESIGN: 10 OUT OF 10 - She kept the true nature of a sneaker. But jazzed it up with beautiful bronze colored snakeskin metallic leather that was brought out by black accents. Along with the faux studded tongue and very creative black band heel.
